Oppdrag MS Bjørvika – A Brand-New Reality Series from the Norwegian Coast
Viaplay wanted a series that could expand the Paradise universe – a spin-off that brought their well-known profiles into an entirely new setting. We took on the challenge and turned expectations upside down: What happens when you swap the luxury hotel in Mexico for a hectic summer tour along the Norwegian coast? When comfort is replaced with chaos, sleepless nights, and long days filled with hands-on work and real responsibility?
Oppdrag MS Bjørvika is a brand-new reality concept where six participants are thrown onboard a floating concert venue and workplace – and must learn the hard realities of life at sea. Not only do they have to live closely together in a confined space, they’re also expected to help keep the entire touring machine running – from cleaning, tidying, and docking, to organizing concerts and afterparties in city after city.

And it doesn’t stop there. Because this isn’t just any boat.
MS Bjørvika is a refurbished ferry, transformed into a fully functional concert arena with space for 240 people. It’s here that Vidar Villa, together with manager Chris Collings and bandmate Jonas Thomassen, has created something truly unique – a floating festival stage that normally docks in Barcode, Oslo, but every summer travels along the Norwegian coast to play concerts and create unforgettable memories.
When Viaplay brought us the idea, the concept came together quickly: What if we put the participants on tour? From Fredrikstad to Kragerø, across a high-intensity 10-day shoot, we created 10 episodes packed with action, challenges, bonding, and unexpected twists.
This is not a show for the faint of heart. You need to handle a fast pace and work closely with a professional tour crew that doesn’t slow down.
We’ve worked with Vidar Villa before, and we’ve always found “the boat” to be a fascinating environment. Both as a setting and as a character in its own right, MS Bjørvika plays a central role in the series. It breathes, demands, and drives the narrative.
Oppdrag MS Bjørvika is more than just a reality show. It’s a hybrid of competition, character development, and real-life work experience – with a dose of chaotic summer vibes. And it’s top-tier entertainment.
For now, we can’t reveal much more. But one thing is certain: this won’t be like anything you’ve seen before.
